Students love to talk about celebrities and fashion. ONEder has found a way to combine math, celebrities, and fashion into one fun lesson!

Step 1: To access the lesson, log in to ONEder using the login details that you were sent.


Step 2: Click “Create” at the top of the Home page. On the bottom righthand corner of the page that appears, you will see a “plus sign.” Hover over it and two options will appear: “New Lesson” or “Start from Library.” Select “Start from Library.”


Step 3: Using the search bar at the top of the screen, look up “Symmetry and Celebrity Fashion” and click enter. Once you have found the lesson, hover over it and click “ADD.”


Step 4: You will be taken to the lesson editing page; from here, you can preview the lesson by clicking on the preview button. It will show you the lesson as your student will see it.


Step 5: You can also personalize this lesson based on your students’ preferences.  For example, if you have a group of students that you know are obsessed by a certain celebrity, you can easily add images of this celebrity to the lesson. To do this you need to:

  • Save the image you want to use on your computer. Once this is done, click in to an activity and hover over the image you want to change. Click on the trash can to remove the current image.
  • Click on the “add media” icon to insert a new image. A window will open up and all you need to do is click on “upload” and you can select an image from your computer. Once you have chosen the image you want to use, select OK and the image will be loaded to the lesson media.
  • Select the image you have just uploaded and a preview will appear.


Step 6: Click OK to insert it into the lesson. Then click “DONE” to finalize the activity.


Step 7: Once you have finished personalizing the lesson, assign it to your student or class by clicking “assign” in the top right corner. Choose the student or class you want to publish this lesson to by clicking on the appropriate tile and dragging it into the middle of the screen. Then click on “publish” to publish the lesson.


Step 8:  Have fun introducing your students to the basics of geometry!
