Location: School
Subject:Math
Grade: 5

This intermediate lesson focuses on simplification of numerical expressions using a pan balance applet. The pan balance – numbers applet allows students to practice order of operations by having them input equivalencies (which the module will record in the table on the right) and by selecting one operation at a time. By doing this, they will see algebraic logic in their simplifications.
