We are excited to share the newest content added to the TeachMate365 and AutisMate365 community library. Each scene and or support can be downloaded separately and later customized to support the needs of your learner or student.

TeachMate365 includes in-app data tracking with automatic graphing of your student’s IEP goals. TeachMate365’s data tracking tool is accessed from within the application and can be tracked simultaneously with instruction and response.

Although data tracking is not a feature of AutisMate365, AutisMate365 users can also access the new content and target the same goals outlined below without the data-tracking feature.

1. Meaning of Words and Phrases, Social Studies
Who is it for: Advanced learners

In this scene you will find two visual stories, each targeting a different way to look up word definitions and word phrases.

Alignment: CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RH.6-8.4
• Determine the meaning of words and phrases as they are used in a text, including vocabulary specific to domains related to history/social studies.

Targeted Goals:
• Student will use a dictionary to determine the meaning of unknown words related to history and social studies topics.
• Student will use an online resource to determine the phrase of unknown phrases related to history and social studies topics.

To Differentiate:
• For beginner learners: Incorporate a video model schedule to support the student independently complete the task.
• For intermediate learners: Incorporate additional details in the visual story, such as how to search by alphabetical order.

 

2. Identify Author and Illustrator
Who is it for: Beginner learners

In this scene you will find the cover of a book with image hotspots to target author and illustrator. In addition, included is a brief explanation for the job of an author and illustrator.

CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.K.6:
• With prompting and support, name the author and illustrator of a story and define the role of each in telling the story.

Targeted Goals:
• Student will identify the author and illustrator on the cover of 10 books.
• Student will accurately define the role of both author and illustrator.

To Differentiate:
• For intermediate learners: Encourage the student to find the author and illustrator on physical books within the classroom and library.
• For advanced learners: Incorporate a visual story to detail the steps an author takes when writing a story to will provide additional background information about an author.

To import from the community library:
1. Navigate to the community library
2. Tap on the scene you want to import
3. Tap on the import button

Your scene is now located in My Library under My Downloaded Supports

Add the scene to your desktop:
1. Enter edit mode
2. Tap on the green plus sign to add scene
3. Add scene from My Library
4. Select the scene you want to add
5. Tap import. Your scene is now imported to your current location.
